If you are depressed, you are living in the past. If you are anxious, you are living in the future. If you are at peace, you are living in the present….

About Anna
Anna is a dedicated Yoga & Mindfulness Teacher and Practitioner, as a fighter of multiple chronic conditions herself, she is passionate about physical, emotional, mental and spiritual healing, overcoming trauma, emotional and physical pain, chronic stress, and anxiety though yoga and mindfulness.
My approach to teaching yoga, is to make it accessible and functional, making it suitable to everyone, including people new to yoga & mindfulness, people dealing with chronic illness, limited mobility, mental health issues, pain and many more…

Yoga
Yoga is often described as a union of the body and mind, which is certainly an essential part of yoga, but it also means the unifying of other things, such as breath and energy, hard and soft, and soul and body…and in the state of Yoga, the body, mind, emotions, and soul become all in balance — a state of equanimity.
Anna has developed a unique style of ‘Mindful Yoga’ through combining her teacher training courses in Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga & Variable Anatomy, Restorative Yoga, Trauma Informed Yoga, Accessible Yoga including adaptations for bed, chair, or wheelchair, and Mindfulness.
This style of practice allows deep healing and relaxation, working with the physical body, anatomy, increasing flexibility and strength, improving mobility and posture, reducing tension and other body sensations, and working with the mind, neuroscience, stimulating the Parasympathetic Nervous System (PNS), reducing the Sympathetic Nervous System (SNS), reducing anxiety, depression and stress, improving cognitive function, sleep, allowing to break the negative circle of intrusive thoughts, fear, so called ‘monkey mind’, overthinking etc.

Mindfulness
Mindfulness is a simple and very powerful practice of training our attention. It’s powerful because it can interrupt the habit of getting caught in thoughts, mostly about the past or the future, which generates more stress on top of the real challenges of everyday life. Over the last 30 years, academic research in the fields of neuroscience, psychology and physical medicine have documented the wide range of benefits of meditation, particularly in an 8-week mindfulness course format.
With dedication and practice, mindfulness can be a perfect method to healing anxiety and stress that can often compromise our health, performance and quality of life, and provide a sensation of relaxation. Regular Mindfulness practice has shown that it can be an effective aid in the treatment of many mental and physical health issues like emotional pain, trauma, including early childhood developmental trauma, and adult’s life trauma, chronic stress response – fight – flight – freeze, as well as generally improving our performance, relationships, and well-being.
“ Mindfulness is a wonderfully easy and available practice, that can create the magic of coming back to yourself, reduce the suffering and increase the happiness…”

“There is so much depth and beauty that mindfulness-based programs can bring to life. I am passionate about cultivating the power of being present in ‘The Now’, mindful attitudes, especially non–judgement, beginner’s mind, non–striving, acceptance, letting go, and gratitude.
The way I like to think about mindfulness, is as to simply be aware, to pay attention, and to bring focus to both internal and external experiences, feelings, or sensations as
they are happening…this helps to find grounding and stability in life, come out of being ‘disconnected’, find balance and resilience.
